Fri, June 24, 2005 - 11:37 PMyikes? The Orient? Ya - they have not your standard "egg-foo yuck"...but they are one of the most greasy - unhealthy -so called "chinese" food places in Portland - Amercian Chinese - nope- they aren't that - but I wouldn't call their food "quality" either....... -

Re: Chinese food
Tue, September 13, 2005 - 10:48 PMMaybe I'm a close-in SE sellout, but I think Fujin on Hawthorne and 35th is really really yummy. Their chicken 'Lo' Mein is delicious, as well as any of their specials. And the General Tsao chicken is amazing, tho packs quite a kick. -

Re: Chinese food
Thu, September 15, 2005 - 9:12 PMI've heard so many people tell me they like Fujin on 35th & Hawthorne, but I can't get past the pre-chopped garlic in citric acid, that they use. I love garlic, but those processed, bottled, little triangle pieces of it, I think are just nasty. But if that doesn't bother you, then I think they do a good job of cooking the food there.
P.S. I hate all the places that don't use fresh garlic though! -

Sat, January 26, 2008 - 3:07 PMI think that Legin and Xien Hong are the best in town fo sho..I went to that seafood restaurant on Division (I think it was called Kings)..I got the Dim Sum..found out I am not a fan of Dim Sum..oh well..went another time but was too skint to afford any of the really killer looking seafood..had Orange Chicken instead..wha wha wahhhhhhhhhhhh..it was so so ..I am interested to try more..oh yea Fujin is killer..when I take my friend there I always will start singing Def Leppards "Foolin" but instead my version goes "Fuh Fuh Fuh Fujin!!!!" -
